Scientists pour molten aluminum into ant colony to study ant architectural patterns

I appreciate how they make sure to film the Prof. saying that he does't take the death of the ants in the colony lightly, and that they openly address the sacrifice of ants for the betterment of science (though, will this science benefit other ants?), instead of trying to gloss over it.
